Schema Markup
(JSON-LD) Generator
Create structured data for a local business, FAQ, article or product, then copy it and test it.
Choose a schema type, fill in the fields and copy the JSON-LD code into your page. Then test it in Google’s Rich Results Test. Only mark up information that is visibly on the page, and remember that schema does not guarantee rich results.

Your JSON-LD
Schema describes what is already on your page. It does not guarantee rich results, and Google decides what to show. Test the page after adding it.
What schema markup does
Schema markup is a standard way to describe a page to search engines and other systems, for example "this is a business at this address" or "this is a question with this answer".
- LocalBusiness describes your name, address, phone and hours.
- FAQPage describes questions and answers that are visible on the page.
- Article describes a blog post, its author and dates.
- Product describes an item, its price and availability.
Paste the generated code into the head of the page, then run it through the Rich Results Test. For help with technical SEO, talk to us.
Frequently Asked
Where do I put the generated code?
Paste the whole script block into the head of the page, or just before the closing body tag. On a CMS, use a header or custom code field.
Will schema get me rich results?
Not necessarily. It makes your content eligible and easier to understand, but Google decides whether to show rich results.
Can I add FAQ schema to any page?
Only if the questions and answers are visible on that page. Marking up content that users cannot see can lead to problems.
How do I test my schema?
Use Google’s Rich Results Test or the Schema Markup Validator, paste the code or page URL and fix any errors it reports.
